The "angel-like" cloud tapestry halos Angels Window arch during the early dawn hours of Labor Day.

I set a task in Summer 2014 to explore the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. During my first two trips, I discovered Angels Window, a small arch near Cape Royal. The shot was challenging - a small hole in an amazing wilderness of walls and expanse My third trip to the North RIm was Labor Day weekend. Arriving long after midnight, I took a nap in my car near Cape Royal. At daybreak I drove the mile or so down to a turn-out and slope I had found in the past trips and made a short downhill trek to the overlook for sunrise. Sky colors took over.
