The Dogwood bloom is one of the most beautiful expressions of spring. On this April morning, I made my way to Sparks Lane and began a photographic study of the trees along the gravel road. Sparks Lane is an amazing place in the pre-dawn light with the crisp air and sounds of wildlife. But when the sun popped over the ridges surrounding Cades Cove, it momentarily lit up the trees along the road with a warm glow. It was such a wonderful way to begin a day of discovery.
